Après sa nomination française au mois de février, BASIC SPACE a aussi convaincu le jury international au mois d’avril !

The 3rd UIA Architecture & Children Golden Cubes Awards
The UIA Architecture & Children Golden Cubes Awards were founded to honour people and organizations that help children and young people to understand architecture. Entrants made submissions describing activities or products designed to teach children and young people to understand architectural design and the processes by which our environment is formed.
Following a national selection process, 23 countries submitted their nominations to an International Jury in four categories – Schools, Institutions, Written Media and Audio-Visual Media.
51 National best nominations were send to UIA, there were 13 entries in Schools category, 19 entries in Institution category, 10 in Written Media category and 9 in Audio and visual category.
The International Jury met on April 6th & 7th 2017 to evaluate the best national nominated entries and select one in each category for an Award. The jury also selected three additional entries for Special Mention.
The Jury was impressed by the range of projects and products presented and the great work done by individuals and by organisations of all sizes from all over the World.
The International Jury has selected the following winners for Written media Golden Cubes Award : Basic Space EXTRA.
Jury’s comment: ”The modules introduce the concept of space for young children in a playful manner. It is very flexible, it encourages imagination and exploration. A great educational tool”.

Palmarès France du PRIX UIA LES CUBES D’OR ARCHITECTURE & ENFANTS
Le jury national, sous la présidence de Philippe Madec, a retenu cinq projets français pour la 3e édition du Prix UIA Les Cubes d’Or Architecture & enfants, qui récompense les initiatives pour sensibiliser les enfants à l’architecture.
Dans la catégorie Médias écrits, le projet BASIC SPACE (éditions + ateliers) mené par EXTRA (Fanny Millard, Zora Sander, Camille Auburtin) en partenariat avec la DRAC Aquitaine, Canopé 33,la DSDEN et les écoles de Castillon la bataille, Sainte Foy la Grande, St Avit St Nazaire, St Magne de Castillon (33) est lauréat du prix pour la France, et est ainsi nominé pour les Golden Cubes Awards, le prix international de l’UIA.
Commentaire du jury :«Présentation exemplaire d’outils de conception de l’espace et de leurs variations accessibles dès le très jeune âge. Objets originaux de bonne facture. »
